Manfred Tiller

Born 1959 in Vienna, Austria. After passing the respective and necessary colleges, study of contemporary history and ethnology which brought me with a stip to the Andean highlands of Bolivia. The matter of my thesis "Ethnological studies on applied alcoholic beverages" (no pun!:)) proved to be desastrous for my academic carreer - as I stayed for some years too long there to graduate. Since then surviving on dire straits as a freelancer in journalism, part-time translator. Back to Vienna at the time of the fall of the Berlin wall and the suicide of communism, I decided to move to Berlin, to teach germans austrian...or, at least, to experience for a moment a bit of fresh air in history (not at least, out of professional interest as historician). Since then, I am moving between Vienna and Berlin (and in winter heading to warmer places like Spain).

Only the internet era saved me from falling prey completely to stupidity - and the fine digicams and composing shareware developed in the last five years. To photography I am a complete newcomer - starting only a year ago to shoot; mainly interested in rather weird and toycam-like digi-cams: Better imperfect, but mine.

I am also composing endless, lulling and ear yelling ambient tracks - with less and less success (as can be seen at : http://www.mp3.com/Manfred_Tiller). Maybe there is something amongst, other monkeys also would like...

photoMETAMORPHOSIS - Trees With A Personality

Some views of trees of old, standing in the forests around Vienna. Maybe somebody may feel shocked, but it was their own personality striving for expression in the course of the years... >>>
