Rena R. Effendi
Rena R. Effendi, an outlandish, Russian-speaking monkey from
the Independent Republic of Azerbaijan was born in April 1977
and re-born in November 2001 with her left eye wide open and
equipped with a 35-80 mm lens.
Her left wide-open eye has a divine power of driving R. Effendi
out of bed at random hours of the morning, night and bad weather.
It leads a separate existence from the rest of her bodily
appendages, a percentage of which contributes to her obscure
daily life of a Project Management Specialist (in short: PMS).
In her free from PMS days, R. Effendi likes to pretend to
attend her painting lessons, roller-blade with a group of
female Russian-speaking monkeys and procrastinate. Last year,
R. Effendi's inner monkey coerced her into declining a $60,000
scholarship to study business in a US graduate school. Ever
since then, R. Effendi has mastered her skill of procrastination
and developed a perfect inability to make important decisions
about her future career and role in the society.

 COLOR
AND LIGHT
These series were inspired by my hunger for color expression
induced by a dream I had of photographing patches of
rich color and unpretentious compositions. The photographed
images are simply the studies of colorful accidents
on the streets of Baku, Azerbaijan.>>>
