Robin Charlsen
I've always been fascinated by the human form, so when I
was studying art in college I began a life long dedication
to figurative art and the use of color. To me, it is much
more exciting than any other subject matter. My present style
has been years in the making. I think back to when I was a
little girl, and I can remember always wanting to break the
pictures I drew into sections . . . and I still do! I begin
initially by putting a base coat of various shades of watercolor
into each section. Then I use colored pencil to create the
three dimensional effect and the vibrant colors. Finally,
I finish each piece up with pen and ink. I consider it to
be a style all my own . . . and I am quite proud of it. For
further information on my work I can be contacted at BrokenArtStudios@hotmail.com.

GODDESS

My first piece in the "Goddess" series was "Moondance".
The drastic pose was what I found so interesting. From
there, I began experimenting with other poses and colors
and that finally evolved into the "torso" pieces, which
really are my favorites. >>>
