Tantra Bensko
we were the monkeys in our part of the forest
with monkey bars. i used to play there with my neighbors
until the oldest girl, into puberty and therefore superior,
showed me that her hips were now too wide to go through
the bars, and sneered. she said "i bet you don't even
know about the birds and the bees, do you?". i was
mortified. i knew about sex. but i didn't know about whatever
the birds and the bees were, and what i should answer. i
suspected there was a connection to sex, but what exactly,
baffled me. i considered many options and stammered. i blushed.
that was the moment i was set outside the camp and became--a
lone artist.
the ability to blush also showed there was a sasquatch
somewhere sleeping around in the family tree.
most sasquatches have taken to shaving to show they are
more human than animal. i however, am one of the few who
likes to celebrate my monkality by not shaving mine. i guess
that's a recessive trait.

TO EXPLAIN
THE SASQUACH SITTER
I know you probably feel this is not the usual way of
going about things. I know it probably does not fit
with the usual paper work. But you have to understand
that I had no choice, really, but to think outside the
box. There was just no one other than me to take care
of my father. If I was a healthy girl, a pretty girl,
someone who could get a husband, that would be different.
But that’s not who I am, and God has dealt the hand
He saw fit. There must be some reason for me to exist.
Maybe it’s because I have a lot of love to offer. >>> |

Well, it wasn’t ending up quite like Kundra had
expected it to in Mexico. Turned out, the big eyed,
playful guy she had gone there to be with had been sent
off by the Peace Corp to save sea turtles someplace
else. And there was no record of where he had been sent.
She put down the phone and stared. She had to make the
best of it. No reason to keep learning Spanish. Well,
she was kind of relieved about that, anyway. No reason
to go far into Mexico. Well, not sure if that was a
plus or not. She wondered what she would do next. At
least, she could go to the zoo. That seemed to be the
only thing of interest where she was. And it would be
a good chance to practice her Spanish. Oh yeah. She
didn’t need to learn Spanish. >>> |
