THE VERY COMFORTABLE EVOLUTION OF MONSTER ART

My name is Monica Newell. When I was a child I drew a comic called Coppo and Lerry. It was a desert island story about what really makes us tick. I'd like to believe that my art still represents good intentions and fine conduct. In the original tale (created at age seven or eight) the two men are on a deserted island. A coconut falls on the head of one castaway while the other swims to the mainland for help.

His buddy's injury was incentive enough to push himself to his highest performance level.

I have been creating images and characters for as long as I can remember, but the most memorable were the two friends who found it in their hearts to care.

Since those days my life has taken turn after turn, and I can proudly say that I never stopped creating. I feel blessed. I would like you to see my art as a dream you haven't had yet.

Enjoy the art. XXOO-Monica
